The all-female Ghostbusters movie that is in development has Bill Murray already dream casting the project. The comedian chatted with Access Hollywood about the reboot and his picks for the lead roles.
Bill said, “It sounds great to me. It sounds as good an idea as any other! There are a lot of women that could scare off any kind of vapor…I would watch it! I mean, I love Robert Palmer’s videos, so why wouldn’t I love the female Ghostbusters?” He also told the Toronto Star, “Melissa McCarthy would be a spectacular Ghostbuster. And Kristen Wiig is so funny — God, she’s funny! I like this girl Linda Cardellini a lot. And Emma Stone is funny. There are some funny girls out there.”
A lucky groom-to-be celebrating his bachelor party in Charleston, South Carolina over the weekend had his celebration crashed by Bill Murray. The actor gave some words of advice to everyone in the group who weren’t already committed to walking down the aisle.
According to Deadspin, Bill had initially declined the invitation to speak with the group but surprised them by walking into the party room a few minutes later. He told the guys, “So now listen here, I’m gonna give you all this advice cause it’s too late for this guy. Besides, she’s 100%. So here’s what I recommend to you. If you have someone that you think is The One, don’t just sort of think in your ordinary mind, ‘Okay, let’s pick a date. Let’s plan this and make a party and get married.’ Take that person and travel around the world. Buy a plane ticket for the two of you to travel all around the world, and go to places that are hard to go to and hard to get out of. And if when you come back to JFK, when you land in JFK, and you’re still in love with that person, get married at the airport.”
The star ended his visit by asking the bachelor’s friends to help him lift the guest of honor onto their shoulders.
